I bought a camera. A very expensive camera and I swear my chest hurt while paying for it. I didn’t want to tell my husband because I knew he wouldn’t like it. You know when you were a kid and you did something bad and you knew you were going to get it when your parents got home from work? That is how I felt!
I wanted a camera that would help me take more professional looking photos. My main reason is for before and after makeup pictures. I have seen some makeup artists camera skills. Their makeup job can be spectacular but if you don’t take a decent picture of it, it will not look as good.
The second reason I wanted this camera is because I want to be able to take amazing pictures of my son without having to pay a photographer every time we play in the park. I have already been playing around with my camera a bit and the picture quality is fantastic. I’m not a photographer, but I am really enjoying how important I feel while snapping photos from a camera with a fancy lens. Don’t you hate how everyone that owns a camera thinks they are a photographer? A person can usually tell a real photographer from a “photographer.” I FEEL like one, but the difference is that I know I have a lot of practicing to do and I am not selling my awful services.
If someone can help me come up with more ideas for why I needed this camera to justify the money I spent on it, that would be greeeeeeat. To be honest, the few pictures I have got from it are already putting my chest at ease. I am in love.
Here are a couple of pictures I have taken with it. Do they look awesome?! I guess I should mention somewhere in this post that I purchased the Canon EOS 70D.
